About Kode With Klossy

Kode With Klossy (KWK) was founded in 2014 to empower girls to learn to code and become leaders in tech. KWK’s programs include its national two-week long summer coding camps for girls aged 13-18. After successfully hosting 14 programs last summer, the team will be hosting 50 camps for 1,000 girls in 25 cities this summer. In addition, as part of its refocused mission to expose as many girls and young women as possible to STEM-education, KWK will be launching year-round programming to its growing community later this year.

Teaching girls to code is just a part of KWK’s grand vision, which is focused on increasing girls’ access to STEM education across the country and fostering their entrepreneurial and creative spirits. The KWK program approach is distinguished by how it engages its community to positively impact the life trajectories of its scholars and ultimately, the role of girls and women in tech. More than just empowering the girls with employable skills, the KWK experience and environment provide a framework for our scholars to succeed in anything they do in the future.

“I traveled to three different cities across the US and taught girls how to code. It was empowering to see young girls excited about the tech industry – an industry with a serious lack of female representation. ”
