Director of Fiscal Management

The Oswego County Treasurer’s Department has an immediate opening for a Director of Fiscal Management to be responsible for the financial planning and accounting practices of the County Treasurer’s Office. 

Qualifications: Master’s degree in accounting, business or public administration, or closely related field including or supplemented by 18 semester credit hours in accounting and one (1) year of supervisory experience in accounting, auditing, budgeting, and/or banking; OR bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or public administration, or closely related field, including or supplemented by 18 semester credit hours in accounting and three (3) years of experience in accounting, auditing, budgeting, and/or banking, one (1) year of which must have been supervisory; OR bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of experience in accounting, auditing, budgeting, and/or banking, one (1) year of which must have been supervisory. NOTE: Additional training beyond a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, public administration, or closely related field can be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis up to two (2) years. 

Starting Salary: $70,908 - $92,888 per year. Salary negotiable to be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Oswego County offers a competitive benefit package including health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, and NYS retirement. Candidates may be eligible for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program.
