It offers a meaningful opportunity for students passionate about designing engaging learning experiences, particularly ones that connect people across generations through shared knowledge, memory, and skill-building. CareYaya’s mission is to transform elder care through companionship, empathy, and innovation. This role plays a critical part in developing structured yet playful learning modules that student caregivers (“Joygivers”) can use with older adults to foster deeper connection, cognitive stimulation, and joy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Design
    • Develop activity-based learning modules (e.g., journaling, memory games, tech tutorials) that student caregivers can use in real-world home care settings.
    • Create flexible templates for caregivers to personalize learning experiences with older adults.
  • Applied Research
    • Review literature on adult learning, cognitive stimulation, and intergenerational education.
    • Translate findings into easy-to-implement activities and engagement strategies.
  • Pilot Testing and Feedback
    • Assist with pilot implementations by collecting feedback from Joygivers and care recipients.
    • Refine materials based on real-world feedback and engagement data.
  • Creative Content Development
    • Design visually engaging worksheets, checklists, and digital resources.
    • Collaborate with the training and caregiver success teams to align content with broader educational goals.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Education, Instructional Design, Human Development, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated interest in learning design, curriculum development, or social impact education.
  • Creative thinker with strong writing and communication skills.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to iterate based on feedback.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, mission-driven startup environment.
