Role Overview
As a Credit Analyst at Sound Advisory, you will play a critical role in assessing credit risk, analyzing financial statements, and evaluating the financial health of startups and growing businesses. You will work closely with our investment and advisory teams to develop strategic recommendations that help clients optimize their capital structures and secure funding. This role requires strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and a keen ability to interpret market and industry trends.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct financial analysis on client companies, including reviewing balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Evaluate creditworthiness and risk profiles of businesses seeking advisory services.
- Develop credit risk models and scoring methodologies to support funding recommendations.
- Prepare detailed credit reports, including risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
- Assist in structuring and negotiating financing solutions for clients.
- Monitor financial performance and credit exposures of portfolio companies.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements impacting credit risk.
- Work cross-functionally with investment, advisory, and operations teams to ensure strategic alignment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 0-3 years of experience in credit analysis, investment banking, financial consulting, or a similar field.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, credit risk assessment, and financial statement analysis.
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of credit markets, lending structures, and capital allocation strategies.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to articulate findings effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
