Role Overview

As a Risk Analyst at Sound Advisory, you will be responsible for assessing, identifying, and mitigating potential risks that could impact our clients’ financial stability, regulatory compliance, and strategic objectives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop risk management frameworks, perform financial analysis, and provide data-driven insights that enable proactive decision-making. Your expertise will be crucial in safeguarding our clients' operations and ensuring long-term success.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, identifying potential financial, operational, and market risks.
  • Develop and implement risk management policies, processes, and frameworks tailored to each client’s needs.
  • Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and report emerging threats to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to measure risk exposure and financial impact.
  • Assess regulatory compliance requirements and ensure adherence to industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  • Utilize data analytics and modeling techniques to forecast potential risk scenarios.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on risk-reduction strategies based on thorough research.
  • Support due diligence efforts for investment and financing transactions.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate risk findings and mitigation plans effectively.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Business, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in risk analysis, financial consulting, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modeling and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, or R.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex risk concepts clearly.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Experience working in startups, investment firms, or advisory roles is a plus.
