Patient Support Associate Vision/Dental Departments
The Patient Support Associate (PSA) is the first person to greet patients and families. The ideal candidate is a "people person" who is friendly to talk to, comfortable with computers and extremely organized. Strong customer service skills and attention to detail are essential. The PSA works closely with all care team members and is responsible for performing a variety of office functions.
Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent; College degree preferred. Experience working in a healthcare setting preferred.
Flu shot required for employment.
Representative Job Duties:
- Welcomes patients and families in a friendly manner.
- Registers patients in Epic ensuring all demographics are 100% accurate.
- Books patient appointments.
- Complete check-in, check-out, and copay collection.
- Verifies insurance eligibility for upcoming appointments.
- Performs reminder calls for appointments when necessary for clinic.
- Assures the highest quality standards for all written and verbal communications with coworkers and manager.
- Accepts additional responsibilities as requested.
