🚀 Position: Brewery Research & Outreach Intern
📍 Location: Remote & Fieldwork in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and Harrisburg, PA
⏳ Duration: 3 Months (Flexible Start Date)
💰 Stipend:  Academic Credit Eligible/Research Grant in Pipeline

🌱 About the Opportunity

This isn’t your average internship. This is a game-changing movement led by Black and Latino innovators redefining food sovereignty, regenerative agriculture, and sustainable economies.

This initiative is spearheaded by William Padilla-Brown, a globally recognized mycologist, citizen scientist, and entrepreneur, featured in MUD\WTR’s "Trends with Benefits". Will is known for breaking barriers in mycology and creating decentralized food systems that empower communities.

In partnership with Mystic Mamas, an Afro-Indigenous regenerative food collective, this research will turn Pennsylvania brewery waste into gourmet mushrooms and sustainable food products—a project that will empower communities, reduce food waste, and build localized food resilience.

As an intern, you won’t just be collecting data—you’ll be part of a movement to reshape the food system from the ground up.
