Internship
The B-Aware Foundation is an Atlanta nonprofit organization established in 2007. We connect the arts & entertainment industry to the healthcare industry and the community. We've promoted large-scale awareness festivals and concerts over the years. Our food and clothing drives for the homeless have been running since 2008, we drop items off at churches, halfway houses, and homeless shelters. We have a mental health initiative called Affirmations Across Atlanta / America where we paint positive affirmation murals in places where they're most needed. We're taking Affirmatons Across America nationwide so if you aren't in Atlanta, that isn't a deal-breaker. We also have a program called Mood Music where we take classically trained musicians into children's hospitals and senior centers to turn frowns upside down. We have a senior center that has agreed to be our pilot location and we will be launching in January 2025.
The minimum requirement for this internship is a passion and love for the community. That's where it all starts. Sure, it helps if you're tech-savvy and love art, music, and murals, but if you don't care about the community it won't work. We're looking for people who are responsible, self-driven, and accountable for their work.
