Company Description

Bullet Point Network (BPN) works with venture capital, private equity, and credit investors and their portfolio companies. Our AI-enabled software platform enables investors to quickly source, map, and vet key assumptions, transform any spreadsheet into a logical case model of cash flows and exit valuation for multiple scenarios,  and produce a first draft investment memo with interactive charts & tables on Day 1. Our analysts direct and supervise BPN’s AI agents, “own” the assumptions & results, and edit the memo. Our team includes software developers and fundamental analysts, based in New York and Silicon Valley, with flexibility for remote work. 

 

Role Description

As an Investment Analyst,  you will use our software, conduct desk research, build models and prepare investment memos similar to those produced by venture capital and private equity funds, working closely with our CEO and Director of Research. You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate on live venture capital and private equity deals, improve your financial and investment analysis skillsets, develop a deep understanding of the investment landscape across different industries and asset classes, and help improve our cutting-edge, AI-enabled platform. 

 

Investment Analyst Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical skills and finance knowledge
  • Experience in Investment Analysis and Financial Modeling
  • Willingness to embrace new software tools and use AI in a purposeful way
  • Curiosity about ways to improve investment decision-making
  • Ability to conduct in-depth desk research on companies, sectors and trends
  • Strong skill sets in analysis, communication and presentation
  • Proficiency with Google Sheets & Slides (or Microsoft equivalent)
  • Open to current students with strong experience and relevant skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred for full time roles

 

Application Process and Contest Parameters:

To apply, please submit your resume, and a work sample showing your familiarity with investment analysis. If selected, you’ll participate in the BPN strategic scenario model contest.

 

Selected full-time Investment Analyst and Summer Intern applicants will complete an investment analysis on our platform and the finalists will present their work to our team. Contest winners will be offered a 12-week paid internship (full-time students) or consulting assignment (eligible lateral hires) with the flexibility for remote work.  Over the past five years, all of our full-time analysts have started as consultants or summer interns.

 

Here’s what to expect: you will build a financial model, slide deck and memo for a public company on our platform, leveraging our pre-built templates to help you. You’ll use BPN’s AI-powered tools to map relevant research to your assumptions, define logical cases to produce the cash flows, charts & tables in the slide deck, and generate an investment memo summarizing your conclusions. You will direct and supervise the AI agents, effectively “own” the assumptions & results, explore interactive charts & tables, and edit the memo to ensure it reflects your conclusions. Afterward,  you will complete a brief survey about your experience using the platform. The entire task can be completed in ~5 hours, but you’ll have a full-week to complete it at your own pace.

To set you up for success, we’ll host an onboarding webinar, where you’ll receive login credentials, get an overview of available training materials, see a demo of the platform, and get answers to any questions you have. We’ll help you along the way to ensure a smooth, successful and educational experience. 

 

Salary and Benefits

Full-Time Role Compensation and Benefits:

Competitive full-time salary and benefits, commensurate with experience. Please include your salary requirements with your application; we’re open to entry-level, junior, and experienced candidates.

 

  • Base Salary: $80,000 to $150,000 per year, based on relevant experience
  • Annual Bonus: Performance-based
  • Benefits: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage
  • Equity Vesting & Profit Sharing: Potential additional compensation on specific projects and firmwide incentive plans

 

12-week Internship or Full-time Consulting Compensation:

Competitive full-time salary and benefits, commensurate with experience. Undergraduate students in our summer internship program typically earn $7,500 base pay with the potential for up to $3,500 in bonus compensation. Rising seniors and graduate students with suitable experience typically earn $12,500 base pay with the potential for up to $5,500 in bonus. Term-time/part-time project work will be compensated based on mutual agreement.
