The Musicians Club is creating a dedicated Data Team of 25 highly skilled individuals to build the database for our upcoming food marketplace. This team will be responsible for gathering, organizing, and structuring all product, vendor, and customer data required to launch a seamless, fully functional marketplace on Shopify. This is a challenging, high-responsibility role, and we’re looking for individuals who can work independently, manage complex tasks, and build a robust database foundation for the marketplace’s success.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Collection and Organization:

• Gather comprehensive data on food products, vendors, pricing, and inventory details, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.

• Develop a structured database for all collected data, categorizing products and organizing vendor information for easy access and management.

• Conduct regular audits of data to maintain accuracy and consistency, identifying and addressing any discrepancies.

2. Database Development and Structure Building:

• Design and set up a scalable database structure that aligns with the needs of a food marketplace, creating an intuitive and efficient layout for future use on Shopify.

• Work closely with the development team to ensure that the database structure supports marketplace functions like search, filtering, and categorization.

• Ensure the database is optimized for easy integration into Shopify, preparing data fields, tags, and categories that meet platform requirements.

3. Quality Control and Data Integrity:

• Implement quality control measures to verify the accuracy of all data entries, ensuring that each item meets The Musicians Club’s standards for completeness and correctness.

• Conduct peer reviews and spot checks to identify and resolve any errors in the data, safeguarding database integrity.

• Regularly update the database with new information or adjustments, ensuring all data remains current and accurate.

4. Collaboration and Reporting:

• Work with team leads to coordinate data-related tasks, aligning the team’s efforts with overall project milestones and deadlines.

• Provide weekly updates on data progress, noting completed sections, challenges, and areas needing further attention.

• Collaborate with the Shopify team to test database functionality within the marketplace framework, addressing any integration issues.

Requirements

• Strong analytical and data management skills, with experience in database development or data organization preferred.

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, ensuring the database is complete, consistent, and reliable.

• Ability to work independently, manage complex tasks without constant oversight, and maintain high standards in a remote setting.

• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms like Shopify and data organization tools is a plus.

• A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to anticipate and resolve data challenges.

Benefits

• Hands-on experience building a comprehensive database for a large-scale e-commerce marketplace.

• Opportunity to work on a high-stakes project that will directly contribute to the launch of a new food marketplace.

• Valuable resume-building experience in data management, database development, and e-commerce setup.

• Be part of a team setting high standards and making a significant impact on a high-growth project.
