Gindi Maimonides Academy seeks an experienced, dynamic preschool – Grade 8 Librarian starting August 2024. The ideal candidate will support our school’s mission, goals, and vision, value community, bring a spirit of enthusiasm and energy, and be willing to take thoughtful initiative in a collaborative setting. We are looking for applicants who are independent, creative, and who can design and develop library programs that inspire curiosity, inquiry, and a lifelong love of reading.

Days:

Monday - Thursday 7:45 - 4:30

Friday 7:45 - 2:30

Qualifications:

· Master of Library Science (MLS) preferred

· At least 2 years of teaching/library experience preferred

· Flexibility, curiosity, enthusiasm, and extensive knowledge of young children’s and young adult literature

· An understanding of the scope and the sequence of the library and information literacy curriculum

· Experience in evaluating and selecting print and digital resources with a commitment to equity and inclusion

· Excellent communication skills, including the ability to proactively collaborate with students, faculty, and parents

Technology and Software Knowledge:

· G Suite for Education, Microsoft Office, iPad usage, Follett Destiny Library Manager, LibGuides, social networking, database, and digital content.
