Human Resources & Admin Specialist

Internship Title: Human Resources and Admin Specialist 

Company Overview: The Center for Societal Aspiration is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to rehabilitating vulnerable members of our community. The CSACO will currently serve individuals facing challenges such as addiction, homelessness, or poverty. Our organization offers a comprehensive range of programs encompassing Health & Human Services and Career Services. Harnessing artificial intelligence (AI) and mobile technology, we deliver an intensive and personalized approach to care while providing access to an array of healthcare professionals and career mentors.

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and creative volunteer Human Resources and Admin Specialist to join our HR & Admin team. The HR & Admin Specialist Intern will support the HR and Administrative functions within the company. This role involves a variety of tasks related to recruitment, team engagement, administrative support, and office management. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn about human resources and administrative operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment Support: Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job vacancies, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and onboarding new employees.
  • Employee Records Management: Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of all personnel information.
  • HR Administration: Support HR functions such as employee benefits administration, timekeeping, and attendance tracking.
  • Policy Implementation: Assist in the implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures.
  • Event Coordination: Help organize and coordinate employee events, training sessions, and meetings.
  • Employee Relations: Provide support in addressing employee inquiries and concerns, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations by assisting in the preparation of necessary documentation and reports.
  • Office Administration: Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, managing office supplies, and handling correspondence.
  • Data Management: Assist in maintaining HR databases and generating reports for management review.
  • Project Management: Support various HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Passionate about nonprofit work and committed to making a positive impact in the community.
