Do you have a passion for English literature and language? Are you experienced with the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum and enjoy working with young learners? We are seeking a dedicated and engaging Independent Contractor to join our team as a Virtual IB English Instructor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach IB English: Deliver comprehensive and dynamic virtual lessons tailored to the IB English curriculum, including both Language and Literature components.
  • Inspire a Love for English: Foster an appreciation for literature, writing, and critical analysis in your students.
  • Tailor Instruction: Customize teaching methods to suit individual student needs and learning styles.
  • Communicate Effectively: Maintain clear and consistent communication with students and their parents regarding progress and areas for improvement.
  • Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest IB curriculum changes and incorporate best practices into your teaching.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in teaching IB English, with a strong understanding of the curriculum and assessment criteria.
  • Educational Background: Degree in English or a related field, with a solid grasp of literary analysis, composition, and IB standards.
  • Virtual Teaching Skills: Proficient in using online teaching platforms to deliver interactive and engaging lessons.
  • Student Engagement: Ability to connect with students and make learning enjoyable and meaningful.
  • Independent Contractor: This is a contract position requiring self-motivation and excellent organizational skills.
  • Hourly Rate: Competitive pay rate of $60-$70 per hour.
  • Commitment: Availability to teach one hour per week, with potential for additional hours based on demand and performance.
