Salary: $5,000/month, generous benefits package
Location: Milwaukee, WI (Please note: Employment with the Democratic Party of Wisconsin requires residence or willingness to relocate to the state of Wisconsin.)

The Opportunity: As a Coordinated Deputy Press Assistant, you will support the Wisconsin Democratic Coordinated Campaign communications team’s day-to-day operations, including drafting press releases, statements, pitches, and advisories; putting together daily clips; encouraging press attendance at events; and organizing press and statement lists.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Draft and manage the approval process for communications materials such as press releases, statements, pitches, fact sheets, advisories, and other items as needed.
  • Put together daily clips (this will require early morning work).
  • Support the organization and execution of press events, including pitch calls and event set up/take down.
  • Support the communications team’s organization, which includes keeping press, story, and statement lists updated.
  • Monitor and track breaking news and noteworthy developments in the presidential campaign or in Wisconsin politics.
  • On year requirements include working outside of normal work hours; including canvassing and other election-preparation as necessary.

  • Some communications, research, or political experience (internships included).
