RESPONSIBLITIES

  • You will perform design analyses and calculations for mechanical projects and is responsible for the preparation of final detailed working drawings, comparative cost analysis.
  • You will perform review and checking of projects prepared by in-house engineers and architects.
  • You will coordinate with other engineers and architects, including Design-Bid-Build(DBB) and Design-Build (DB) projects, to ensure that final detailed working drawings, specifications, and RFPs are properly integrated with the building systems.
  • You will conduct various studies, monitors project progress and prepares quarterly reports.
  • You will prepare technical reports when appropriate describing problems investigate, procedures followed, results obtained, and conclusions reached.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

1) Applying the theories, concepts, principles, computer systems applications, and methodology of mechanical engineering to support a wide range of construction projects and mechanical utility systems;

2) Developing engineering designs and plans for mechanical utility systems (e.g., heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration) as a part of complex construction projects;

3) Interpreting mechanical engineering design specifications (i.e. from American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) standards, Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC), American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) standards such as 189.1, 90.1, 62.1, various ASHRAE handbooks, National Fire Protection Association Codes such as 54,58, 90A, 96, Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors National Association, Inc. (SMACNA) Standards, International Mechanical Code (IMC), International Plumbing Code ( IPC), and/or the International Building Code) to conduct the analysis and design of mechanical engineering projects;

4) Producing results of analyses in writing to consolidate findings of others and evaluate recommendations and facts.
