RESPONSIBLITIES

  • You will manage assigned engineering projects from cradle to grave.
  • You will provide guidance, direction and coordination on matters associated with engineering project scope, requirements and funding.
  • You will provide design and technical expertise in Electrical Engineering.
  • You will serve as the Navy Technical Representative (NTR) under the COTR (Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative).
  • You will review plans and designs prepared by Professional Engineers in Architectural and Engineering firms, NAVFAC, and Naval activities to determine their conformance with Navy and DoD criteria and contract scope.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

** This position has a Selective Placement Factor (SPF) that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is: you must have a current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) from any state, the District of Columbia, Guam or Puerto Rico. You must provide a copy of your registration with your application package. Note - a copy of a wall certificate, without an expiration date, will not serve to verify this requirement.

1) Identifying the need for a modification to scope, cost, and/or schedule based upon collaboration with the contractor, supported command, designer, or other entities;

2) Enforcing all technical and administrative provisions of assigned construction contracts; 3) Providing technical solutions for unforeseen problems during construction;

4) Managing construction projects in support of clients with critical, time-sensitive missions and requirements; and

5) Ensuring communication between construction manager, contract specialists, the contractor, the project technical team, the client, and others as appropriate for construction projects.
