Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Media/Journalist Intern to join our team. Responsibilities:

  • Content Strategy: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop a comprehensive content strategy for digital platforms in line with our brand voice and objectives.
  • Trendy Topic Research: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, news, and conversations related to mental health across different digital social platforms. Identify trending topics and themes relevant to our target audience.
  • User Persona Understanding: Conduct research and analysis to gain a deep understanding of our target audience's demographics, psychographics, and preferences. Use this knowledge to tailor content and messaging effectively.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze the performance of digital marketing campaigns and content. Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and communications, to ensure alignment and cohesive execution of digital strategies.
  • Stay up to date with the latest digital marketing best practices and industry trends.
  • Brand Monitoring: Monitor online conversations and mentions related to our brand and mental health topics. Respond to comments and inquiries appropriately.

Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a relevant degree program in journalism, media studies, communications, marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt writing styles for different digital platforms and target audiences.
  • A genuine interest in mental health advocacy and a basic understanding of mental health issues, terminology, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with various digital social platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
  • Understanding of user personas, online behavior, and digital marketing strategies to effectively target and engage specific audiences.
  • Proficiency in using content management systems, social media management tools, analytics platforms, and SEO best practices.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving work environment.
