Business Analyst

Role Overview:

The Business Analyst position is responsible for generating, creating, and analyzing reports for various financial statistics to provide management the tools and data for better decision making and accountability. They will be responsible for making business recommendations based on analysis that will result in overall cost savings, increased productivity, efficiency and/or revenue generation. Reporting to the Finance Team, the reporting analyst is responsible for updating, analyzing, and distributing all identified daily/weekly/monthly sales reports.

 

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Responsible for making business recommendations based on analysis that will result in overall cost savings. increased productivity, efficiency and/or revenue generation.
  • Work with FP&A team to identify areas to analyze and build reports to improve business.
  • Work with various stakeholders throughout the company to ensure financial tools are used consistently and properly.
  • Generate and organize reports through various systems and databases to provide Managers and Executives data in a functioning format to make better decisions and to hold teams accountable
  • Develop new reports to assist managers in highlighting areas of opportunity for better management and accountability
  • Analyzing data and ensuring its accuracy throughout the company
  • Constant communication with Warehouse/Store Management to generate reports based on the needs of the business
  • Maintains and Oversees the Store Ordering Tool used by stores to place orders
  • Forecast sales and movement to project business demands and determine changes that may need to be implemented

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required
  • A minimum of 1 - 2 years of accounting/financial experience
  • Demonstrated decision-making ability and leadership skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence others through data and logic
  • Advanced Skills in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Macros, etc.)
  • Knowledge of SageX3, Magento & SMS is a plus
  • Experience utilizing SQL to problem solve is a plus
  • Combined skill set of critical thinking and development
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
  • Able to work flexible work schedules to accommodate business levels
