Credentialing Specialist - JR102050

The CVO (Credentials Verification Organization) provides client specific credentialing services to internal divisions and contracted external clients. The Credentialing Specialist position is responsible for data entering, gathering, and primary source verification of healthcare practitioner information, which includes in-depth, detailed, or challenging research of information. Primary methods of researching information include phone, fax, e-mail, and letters.

Responsibilities
• Writes up and data enters assigned files into credentialing database.
• Mails, e-mails, faxes, and calls for verification requests to the appropriate primary sources (e.g., hospitals, licensing boards, etc.) to gather and verify healthcare practitioner information.
• Research verification information via the Internet and other electronic databases and enters into database.
• Contacts practitioners/primary sources/clients for missing information identified during the credentialing process.
• Enters researched and/or corrected information into the credentialing database.
• Reviews and organizes files for accuracy and completeness in preparation for auditing.
• Delivers/ships audited files to internal and external clients that can be reviewed by a client's credentials committee.
• Monitors and reports on the status of credentialing files at file discussion meetings.
• Audits assigned credentialing files for accuracy and completeness.

Qualifications
• Have clear and concise phone and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrate effective written communication skills.
• Have strong computer, typing, and data entry skills: includes MS Word, Excel and database.
• Detail oriented with ability to recognize vital information from verification documents.
• Possess proof-reading skills sufficient for auditing documents.
• Ability to prioritize well and meet overlapping deadlines.
• Demonstrate problem-solving, critical thinking, and deductive reasoning skills.
• Ability to consistently maintain quality and production expectations.

Education and Years of Experience
• Must have two years of credentialing or equivalent work experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• High level of customer service and/or phone experience.

Preferred
• Ability to learn and use credentialing database and other related databases.
• Ability to obtain information via the Internet.
• Ability to follow instructions and use time productively.
• Ability to work individually as well as in a highly functional team environment.
• Ability to effectively manage customer service issues and maintain client base.
• Ability to consistently maintain quality and production expectations.

We believe in fair compensation for all of our people, which is why our pay structure takes into account the cost of labor across U.S. geographic markets. For this position, we offer a pay range of $36,800 -- $89,100 annually, with pay varying depending on work location and job-related factors such as knowledge, position level and experience. During the hiring process, your recruiter can provide more information about the specific salary range for the job location.

CHG Healthcare offers starting salaries for sales positions in the form of total target compensation (TTC = base + commission + bonus), which includes base pay, commission, and bonuses. Sales positions receive short-term incentives through commission plans and bonuses. On the other hand, non-sales positions have starting salaries that consist of a base salary and short-term incentives through various bonus plans, which are paid out monthly, quarterly, or annually.
