Event Management Intern at Boston While Black

The Opportunity:  BWB is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Event Management Intern to join our team. This role is ideal for a college student pursuing a degree in event management, hospitality, business, or related fields, who is keen to gain practical experience in organizing and executing successful professional events. Your work will directly contribute to building a more engaged and vibrant community.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, organizing, and executing various online and in-person events.
  • Coordinate with vendors, speakers, and team members to ensure smooth event operations.
  • Manage event-related communications with members, including invitations, confirmations, and feedback surveys.
  • Support marketing efforts to promote events through social media, newsletters, and other channels.
  • Monitor event budgets and timelines to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Provide on-site or virtual support during events, handling any logistical challenges that arise.
  • Analyze post-event data to assess performance and suggest improvements for future events.

 

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Event Management, Hospitality, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude.
  • Familiarity with digital communication tools and social media platforms.
  • Interest in community building and professional development topics.
