QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST

Incumbents will complete approximately 12 months of training at McAlester, OK, after which time, they will be reassigned to other locations based on Army needs. Class start date is scheduled for July 2023.
 
SALARY PROGRESSION:
First year: $46,696 - $63,246 per year
Second year: $57, 118 - $74,250
Upon Program Completion: $69,107 - $89,835

In this role you will get to:
  • Assist in ensuring the Army's ammunition stockpile is ready, reliable, and lethal by using inspection techniques.
  • Assist in verifying that ammunition and explosives comply with stockpile reliability requirements prior to acceptance.
  • Assist in identifying defects and recommending corrective action.
  • Assist in reading, interpreting, and applying ammunitions and explosives technical data such as blueprints, engineering drawings, product specifications, and/or technical manuals.
  • Assist in identifying for corrective action deficiencies caused by improper storage methods, extended periods of storage, or inherent deterioration characteristics of the material.
  • Convey ammunition surveillance assurance information using a variety of written formats and techniques to audiences with a varying level of knowledge on the subject.
  • Assist in conducting meetings, briefings, training sessions, or conferences to express any ammunition or explosives issues or concepts in a clear, concise, and convincing manner.
  • Duties listed are at the entry level. The incumbent receives progressively more responsible assignments as experience and training are received to the next higher-level position.
