Spring 2023 Political Analyst Internship

An internship with MWPC PAC provides an excellent opportunity to see the women’s political movement in action, while at the same time allowing for the exploration of the different aspects of public service. We are looking for energetic candidates to assist in the political action committee (PAC).

We make every effort to tailor internships to best suit the student’s strengths and needs. Internships are unpaid, but students may receive academic credit. Interns must set and stick to a regular work schedule with a minimum 12 hours per week.

Political Analyst (PAC) Internship:
Outcomes: Intern(s) will learn about each aspect of campaigning. Intern(s) will gain an understanding of effective political advocacy and organizational structure, and learn to facilitate a PAC endorsement process and support PAC endorsed campaigns. Intern(s) will gain valuable event planning and facilitating skills. Intern(s) will learn basic volunteer management skills.

-Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Gender Equality, or a related field, rising Juniors/Seniors preferred.
-Strong research and organizational skills.
-Ability to work independently and collaborate as needed
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
-Sense of responsibility and commitment to MWPC’s mission
-This is a min. 12-hours per week, unpaid internship.
-College Credit: We work with schools to ensure college credit is available, if applicable.

-Provide candidate support during election seasons, including: recruiting volunteers and voter outreach.
-Participate in outreach to candidates to facilitate endorsement process; attend endorsement interviews and take notes.
-Provide support for key MWPC events.
-Other responsibilities will be assigned on an as-needed basis.
