Educational Programs Internship Fall 2021

The Educational Programs Intern at NEMPAC will gain experience working in a community non-profit music and arts organization. The intern will be an integral part of the educational team and will work with our Educational Program Director. He/she/they will gain experience in logistical planning, preparation, and implementation of educational programming. The intern will assist with registration and scheduling for the current session and in planning future sessions. He/she/they will assist with grant research, marketing, and educational programs. The intern will also help with communications, event planning, and other tasks as they arise.

Responsibilities Include:
▪ Data entry and management
▪ Evaluation management
▪ Assist with large programs
▪ Assist in educational grant research
▪ Assist in program registration and scheduling
▪ Assist in marketing educational programs
▪ Assist with some class pickups and transitions
▪ Assist with special events and performances
▪ Assist in classes as a teaching assistant as desired and needed.

Qualifications:
This position is for a candidate currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program, OR a recent graduate with an interest in arts administration. This position is for an enthusiastic candidate who is passionate about becoming more involved in a rapidly growing, community-based arts organization. The right candidate will have:

▪ Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and strong work ethic
▪ A passion for the arts
▪ The ability to work independently and as part of a team
▪ Excellent communication skills

Hours: Flexible schedule, 15-20 hours/week.
Start date: October 1, 2021 or earlier as available.

This is an unpaid internship which college students can use for an intern, credit-based requirement.
Public transportation reimbursement is provided.
