Federal Programs Analyst (Program Analyst 2)

What you will do!
Your role as a Federal Programs Analyst is critical to the coordination, analysis and synthesis of data related to Federal Systems Programs.  You will be responsible for data ownership, for the coordination of data collections, data analysis, and reporting for multiple programs in the Federal Systems team coordination and administration of the allocation process, Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) budget narrative tool and process, Maintenance of Effort (MOE) process, in conjunction with education program specialists for  multiple federal programs including:

  • Title I-A - Basic Programs for Disadvantaged Youth; Title I-C Migrant
  • Title I-D Neglected or  Delinquent Youth
  • Title II-A Supporting Effective Instruction
  • Title III English Learners; Title IV-A Student Support and Academic  Enrichment
  • Title IV-B 21st Century Community Learning Centers, Title V Rural and Low-Income Schools
  • Foster Care, and Title VII  McKinney-Vento, Homeless Children, and Youth
Your major duties and responsibilities include the following but not limited to:

  • Facilitate training for district leaders and program staff on the allocations, use of funds, and supporting districts’ abilities to leverage their funding for student success
  • Identify data trends across programs to better administer funds to districts resulting in improved student outcomes
  • Recommend strategies for utilizing data to inform program policy and practice.
  • Work closely with the data owners to understand the data collections and reporting requirements and support data analysis, synthesis, and interpretation to meet program needs.
  • Create specialized reports synthesizing and interpreting the data to inform policy or program needs
  • Serve as a web coordinator and accessibility subject expert
  • Provide recommendations on changes and enhancements to improve program quality and data quality
  • Identify and establish policies and procedures regarding effective allocations of funding
