Computer Vision and Remote Sensing Summer Internship

Are you interested in research and development in the rapidly expanding areas of Computer Vision and Satellite Remote Sensing? Are you interested in learning about satellite image processing, how machine learning can be used to support 3D model building, and classification of manmade and natural environments? If so, this internship might be for you! You will have the opportunity to gain real-world experience working on a large research project with a dynamic team of engineers, scientists, and university students and faculty. ARA is excited to offer a summer internship to a qualified candidate who will support data and software requirements for machine learning solutions, GIS applications, and prototype algorithm development. This work will support research being conducted by ARA and several university partnerships for the Intelligence Advance Research Project Activity (IARPA - https://www.iarpa.gov/).

This position will expose you to research in the computer vision, geospatial sciences, and offer an opportunity to develop algorithms and software. The objective of this internship will support team-members’ research while also enabling you to put your own ideas into practice through mentorship. This position aims to strike a careful balance between entry-level tasks needed to be done as part of the research and the opportunity to think and evolve your own ideas through software and algorithm development.
