What is the UHE JET Program?

United Home Experts prides itself on being a company that cares about people; families we serve, employees who work here, and neighbors in the community of which we are a part.
We also choose to live by our core values, one of which is to Always Be Learning. Looking at the work we do as a small employer with ambitious productivity, we realized there is an opportunity to support others in their learning endeavors.

Our management staff has a background working with interns and student development programs and felt a strong pull to offer opportunities at UHE which would enable aspiring professionals to experience the reality of the workplace and a supportive environment to grow soft and technical skills within their chosen vocation.

Hence, the United Home Experts Junior Expert Training Program was created. Designed around individuals currently enrolled in an accredited college or university the UHE JET program is dedicated to be true educational and professional development, exposing young adults to a wide breadth of experiences, interactions, practices and tools.

JET participants are supported by 2 UHE professionals over the duration of the 12 week program; a coordinator to format the logistics of their schedule, program curriculum and align their experience with their stated goals, and a dedicated mentor who will be their guide within their discipline.

Over the course of the programs JET participants can expect to participate in job shadowing, be taken through a range of interactive learning experiences, and be given the opportunity to take the lead on one to three independent projects. The program culminates with two presentations; a brief company wide review and a deeper reflection of their experience to company leadership.

UHE offers JET positions in all areas of small business; Marketing, Finance and Administration, Project Management, Field Production and Information Technologies.

Dedicated to maximizing the JET opportunities, United Home Experts only offers the program when one of our mentors can dedicate the time and attention to adequately support a positive growth experience. As such, JET positions may not be available on a regular schedule, but only as such positions become available.

With nearly 50% of private sector employment coming from small businesses, the opportunity within an operation like United Home Experts provides young people the opportunity to test drive a future career with the knowledge and support of experienced professionals invested in the student’s success.
