Junior IT Intern

The Junior Information Technology Intern is responsible for providing a full range of IT support and technology services to internal users. Services include support of desktops and helpdesk ticketing system. As well as business interaction analysis technology related issues, prioritization and resolution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform on-site technical & network support.
  • First point of contact for troubleshooting of IT problems and resolving if possible.
  • Logging all IT problems via ITSM ticketing system (KACE), maintaining use of ITSM and expanding its use within the company.
  • Participate with management of computer security and anti-virus updates etc.
  • Answering technical queries and assisting end users.
  • Quickly arrange repair for hardware in event of hardware failure.
  • Maintains excellent communication with the IT Manager on all tasks and projects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Must have in basic knowledge of Windows 10.
  • Experience supporting Windows in a corporate environment would be a plus.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office.
  • Must have a basic understanding of networking.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service skills.
  • Good team player with the ability to work well with others.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with computer hardware.
  • Experience in the installation of Windows OS and other software.
  • Understanding of Active Directory and some Windows Server knowledge.
  • Knowledge and experience using KACE or other helpdesk ticketing system is preferred.
  • Have basic working knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and GPO's.

Hours and Location
  • Work schedule is flexible and will be discussed with candidate during interview process.
  • Location: Canton, MA
