Data Science & Analytics Intern (Summer 2020)

Are you a current undergraduate interested in the intersection of statistics and computer science? Do you have experience with Python, R or data visualization? We’re looking for an analytical, detail-oriented problem-solver to join our team for a Summer 2020 Data Science and Analytics Internship, where you’ll work alongside a group of data scientists and data analysts to scrutinize and interpret system data and provide full-fledged insights to help our customers make better decisions. This is a unique hands-on training initiative that focuses primarily on the development of skills, knowledge and the confidence required to build a burgeoning career in data science. If you’re a top-notch communicator with a passion for data and coding, let’s talk!

Responsibilities:


As a Data Analyst Summer Intern, you will work on...
 
  • Standardizing free text data sets for analysis
  • Analyzing resumes or other candidate skills data
  • SEO Metrics optimization and analysis
  • Optimizing segmentation of company sizes for the purposes of different research questions
  • Building forecasting models
  • Analyzing seasonal patterns in hiring
 

Qualifications:

  • Experience with spreadsheets and other standard business professional software, such as Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Coursework or professional experience in statistics, finance, or other subjects involving data analysis and data visualization
  • Excellent communication skills – whether using the written word or data visualization – to articulate ideas clearly, concisely, and persuasively
  • Must be a problem solver and a self-starter
  • Must be pursuing a Bachelors or Master’s degree during the time of the internship (Summer 2020)
  • Experience with Tableau or other business intelligence software
  • Coursework in economics, stats, mathematics, or other behavioral sciences is a plus
  • Experience with SQL, Python, or R – or other coding experience – is a plus
