Technical Documentation Intern - Summer 2020 ---Expired---

Meet Our Team:
As a Technical Documentation intern, you will write, review, and edit customer-facing content to enable Pega users to solve critical business problems by using our software. This content, in the form of online help, knowledge base articles, user guides, learning modules, and software UI text addresses the needs of multiple audiences, including business users and technical implementers. In this position you will work with the Pega Technical Documentation team and other stakeholders across the organization to plan for, write, and peer review effective, task-based content.

What You’ll Do at Pega:
  • Work with a group of technical writers to create user-oriented content that explains complex concepts and processes clearly.
  • Build relationships and consensus across the organization to help our team create and implement the appropriate content deliverable.
  • Support customer success by contributing to the design and delivery of content that optimally conveys intended messages to target audiences with clarity and precision.
  • Work with stakeholders to set objectives and priorities to deliver within the committed time frame. Analyze risks and anticipate issues that can impact schedules.
  • Create task-based content focused on user goals, not product features
  • Develop hands-on technical expertise with product functionality and architecture in one or more product areas.

Who You Are:
An intelligent, motivated, and collaborative individual with exceptional communication skills. This individual has a desire to enter the technology industry, is interested in documenting complex software products, and can organize and present a range of technical material to a variety of audiences. Consideration will be given to students studying Liberal Arts, Creative Writing, User Experience Design, Library Science, or Computer Science.
