About this role:
Gartner’s enterprise Business analytics / AI COE group is looking for an intern that can do some BI/AI work for us using a code first approach Node.JS or .Net and Python (beginner to intermediate proficiency level). Unique development opportunity for high-potential individuals who are currently pursuing or have recently completed an Engineering or Computer Science Bachelor’s degree. The ideal candidate should have the following technical skills listed below.
What you’ll do:
- Contribute to the review and analysis of business requirements, Collaborate on architecture and technical design discussions
- Design, implement, and test various applications and/or services using a range of technologies
- Perform and participate in code reviews, peer inspections and technical design/specifications
- Focus on code development (.Net, Node.JS, Python) and NLP, Machine learning solutions employing a knowledge of SDLC, SCRUM, and Agile methodologies.
What you’ll need:
- Graduating college senior earning a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related engineering field w/experience in software development
- Motivated, high-potential performers with demonstrated ability to influence and lead
- Related course work on software development, Web development and object-oriented design fundamentals, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Data Mining
- Programming language experience in any or all .Net, Java, C#, Python, R, SQL, JavaScript
- Demonstrable knowledge in natural language processing (NLTK) or text mining
- Hands on knowledge implementing data mining and machine learning models is plus
- Hands on knowledge with Big Data tools such as Hadoop, Spark is a plus
- Strong understanding on SQL, database concepts, familiar with JavaScript, Node.JS, React, Angular
