Internship - Software Development - Sunnyvale, CA
Edelman Financial Engines is seeking a highly motivated individual to join its team as a Software Development Intern in Sunnyvale, CA.
This is an excellent internship opportunity to work on a marketing technology project that will build a micro-service based intelligent system with predictive analytics for marketing initiatives. The project will leverage Amazon Web Services cloud technology stack including but not limited to Serverless, Object Storage S3, Dynamo DB (NoSQL), RDS (SQL), AWS Sagemaker, etc. At the end of the project, the intern will have experienced and learned building enterprise-grade, business-critical application components, especially in the communications and marketing space.
Responsibilities:
- Data analytics
- Leverage algorithms in the machine learning space.
- Automate marketing-oriented activities to yield more enrollments of our prospects into our professional investment management program.
Requirements:
- Strong algorithm-based problem-solving skills
- Experience with Java language, SQL with MySQL DB or MSSQL Server Database, and NoSQL Databases
- Ability to comprehend and factor in scalability, reliability, and availability aspects
- Develop technical scope and specification of the project deliverable, and deliver with high-quality code
- Demonstrated coding experience through projects on github demonstrating technical initiative and creativity. Familiarity with machine learning toolsets such as SciKit-Learn, or TensorFlow will be a plus.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services technologies
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player and eagerness to step up and learn through pair programming.
