National Grid is excited to offer paid internships that will offer you a wide range of technical, managerial and operational opportunities for summer 2019. These opportunities will help you gain valuable insight into National Grid as well as the Energy/Utility industry as a whole, all the while helping you build your professional network.

Starting May/June 2019 through August 2019, spend a summer as a GRIDtern and help advance your skills through a first day Orientation Session, hands on projects within your department, volunteer opportunities, field/work site visits, networking sessions (Lunch & Learns, etc.) and much more.

Detailed responsibilities will vary depending on your course of study and assigned department. Internship responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
 
·        Data analytics and dashboard design for a mobile deployment project
·        Conduct research in artificial intelligence and block chain
·        Collaborate in a project’s validation, forecasting, and improvement process
·        TechBar assistant (National Grid’s version of a Genius bar)

Qualifications for our internship program include:
  • 3.0 Cumulative GPA for Undergraduate Students
  • 3.2 Cumulative GPA for Graduate Students
  • Applicant must have accumulated 18 or more credits and be 18 years of age
  • Authorized to work in the United States for the entire duration of the internship
  • Registered in school as a full time student
