Seasonal Full-time: 22.50 - $24.50 per hour DOE

Rainy Day Dinner Club is seeking an organized, energetic, and hands-on Camp Coordinator to lead our 2026 Summer Camps! If you love working with children, coordinating engaging activities, and managing a dynamic camp environment, this position is for you. Experience leading students through camps or group activities essential.
Salary:
This is an hourly position
- 22.50 - $24.50 per hour DOE
- Mileage reimbursement for travel from our office to and from offsite camps.
Shifts: Monday - Friday 37.5 hours a week. 8am - 4pm
Start Date:
- Onboarding is on 6/5
- Coordinator training 6/8 - 6/12
- Team camp training is 6/15 - 6/19 11:30am – 6:00pm
- Camps run 6/22 - 8/28
Location: Most of our camps are in Seattle at our Queen Anne kitchen. Two weeks of camp are in Redmond.

Desired qualifications and experience:
- 2- years of experience working with groups of 10-14 kids in mixed-grade settings (1st - 6th grade).
- 1 year of supervisor or peer training experience.
- Organized with strong classroom management skills, keen attention to detail, and a love of teaching.
- Comfortable with administrative work, spreadsheets, lesson planning, maintaining student records, and data entry.
- Strong awareness of time and managing the camp team on where they need to be and when.
- Able to build training materials for the staff and students.
- Ability to follow a lesson plan while being creative, flexible, and thinking quickly when needed.
- Enjoy a fast-paced, active environment with daily class goals.
- Comfortable working independently, and great at communicating with peers and supervisors daily.
- Vegetarians and Vegans welcome; however, comfort with handling cooked meats, raw eggs, dairy, gluten, soy, and vegetarian products is required.
- A fun and positive attitude and the ability to actively engage with kids are essential.
Camp Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Managing and supporting instructors on prepping, packing, and executing upcoming camps
- Help with equipment and supply ordering.
- Train and support staff to deliver their lessons.
- Cover lessons when Instructors are on their meal and rest breaks, or while they are on vacation or sick time.
- Actively supervise campers and staff, by managing the camp team on where they need to be and when.
- Maintain an organized and approachable activity space.
- Ensure compliance with Camp Policies.
- Report and record details of notable concerns or incidents, injuries to campers, other staff members, or self.
- Keep track and be aware of camper allergies and dietary restrictions.
- Manage behavior or health issues with students and communicate with parents.
- Lead daily, weekly, and end of season meetings.
Requirements:
- Experience working with kids within an environment with multiple age kids (grades 1st-5th) in the same classroom.
- Provide proof of covid vaccines and boosters.
- Must be able to pass a Washington State school and National background checks.
- Must meet federal and state health and safety standards and maintain credentials for childcare (1st Aid, CPR, Food Health certification).
- The ability to lift three 30lbs bins in and out of your car (cart will be provided).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and computer skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and to handle multiple tasks.
- Able to work flexible hours on occasion.
