Echo Design Intern

Echo Division Design Internship

The Echo Division Design Intern will support the design team across all aspects of the creative and product development process. This role offers hands-on experience working within a fast-paced, collaborative environment focused on building and evolving the Echo brand.

 

The Program Overview

The Design Intern will assist with day-to-day design activities and gain exposure to the full product lifecycle—from concept through sample development. This role will be supervised by a member of the Design team and will partner closely with Product Development and Merchandising.

 

What You’ll Do

During the internship, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Support the design team with trend research, sample coordination, pricing support, and artwork development 
  • Participate in and gain exposure to internal design presentations 
  • Organize and maintain design documentation and reference materials 
  • Coordinate the return and tracking of samples (dropped styles, colors, or incorrect samples) 
  • Assist in preparing tech packs, including flat sketches, CADs, color cards, pitch sheets, swatches, trims, and Label & Pack details 
  • Support the coloring and development of styles under designer direction 
  • Assist in reviewing and checking samples for accuracy and quality 
  • Help create and set up presentation materials and showroom visuals for design reviews and walk-throughs 
  • Maintain and organize development binders, spreadsheets, specs, DAFs, pitch sheets, archives, and research materials for current and future seasons 
  • Partner with internal teams (including mailroom/logistics) to ensure timely shipment and receipt of samples and materials 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Textile Design, Apparel Design, or a related field 
  • Passion for design, brand building, and storytelling 
  • Strong organizational and communication skills 
  • Ability to take initiative, follow direction, and manage tasks through completion 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) 
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator required; familiarity with PLM systems and Label & Pack processes is a plus 
  • Must have housing in the NY Metro area 
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
