Academic Coach at Bridgecrest Learning Academy
Position Overview
Bridgecrest Learning Academy is seeking college students pursuing degrees in education, child development, psychology, or related fields to serve as Academic Coaches supporting elementary school students in grades K–5.
Academic Coaches provide one-on-one academic support that helps students strengthen foundational skills in reading, writing, and mathematics while building confidence and positive learning habits. This role offers valuable hands-on experience for students interested in working in education or youth development.
Academic Coaches work directly with families to provide consistent weekly academic support sessions either in-person or virtually.
Responsibilities
• Provide one-on-one academic support for students in grades K–5
• Assist students with homework and reinforce classroom learning
• Support development of foundational skills in reading, writing, and math
• Encourage positive study habits and academic confidence
• Communicate with parents regarding session scheduling and student progress
• Provide brief session updates to Bridgecrest Learning Academy
Qualifications
• Currently enrolled in a college or university program
• Preferred majors include education, child development, psychology, or related fields
• Interest in working with elementary-aged students
• Strong communication skills and reliability
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and families
Position Details
Position Title: Academic Coach
Student Grade Levels: Kindergarten through 5th Grade
Session Format: In-person or virtual academic support
Schedule: Flexible scheduling designed to accommodate college course schedules
Compensation: $35–$45 per hour, depending on session type
