Tippi Toes Dance Company in South Bay San Diego, specifically serving the areas of Chula Vista and Coronado. Grow with us and be part of a fun-loving dance community that is passionate about inspiring kids through dance. We're currently looking for 4 enthusiastic Dance Instructors to join our team.

About Tippi Toes Dance Company:

• Not your typical brick & mortar dance studio; we bring dance into daycares and schools, making it convenient for families.
• No need to drive all over town for classes—our service meets our dancers where they are.
• Tippi Toes has been spreading joy since 1999, with 40 locations across the country.

Dance Instructor Position at Tippi Toes South Bay San Diego:

• We are seeking versatile and flexible teaching artists open to a dance curriculum with set choreography.
• No choreography creation involved in this position.

Location & Schedule:

• Tippi Toes serves daycares and schools throughout South Bay San Diego (Chula Vista and Coronado).

Compensation:

• $25 per dance class taught
• $18 for all other duties, including training and administrative tasks

Qualifications:

• Performance background (dance, theatre, cheer) is a plus but not required.
• Experience working with children is a plus.
• Must have a current driver’s license and access to a car.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities:

• Review assigned curriculum and practice lesson plans prior to class.
• Follow Tippi Toes curriculum, playlists, and lesson plans without deviation.
• Teach each class with enthusiasm and positivity, encouraging student participation and fun.
• Communicate regularly with school staff and keep everyone up to date.
• Work with the school director and owner to maximize class attendance.

Requirements:

• Passion for children and dance.
• Experience working with or teaching children, or a love of doing it.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with children of all ages.
• Tenacity and self-motivation with a positive attitude.
• Readily welcome feedback for continuous improvement.
• Current driver’s license and access to a car.
• Willingness to undergo a background check.
