Student Community Promoter
I built a free housing calculator that helps college students compare dorm costs vs. off-campus rent near their school. It shows neighborhoods, rent estimates, roommate splits, and annual savings — all in one place. The app is live and works for 6,000+ schools nationwide.
I'm looking for a US-based college student or recent grad to help spread the word in online student communities. This is not spam. The tool is free, genuinely useful, and solves a real problem students have. I need someone who can talk about it naturally in the places where students are already asking housing questions.
What You'll Do:
- Join 20–25 online communities where college students discuss housing (Reddit, Facebook groups, forums)
- Post helpful, data-driven content about housing costs near specific schools
- Share a shareable savings card from the app that shows dorm vs. off-campus cost comparisons
- Answer real housing questions in student groups and mention the tool as a resource
- Log every post in a shared Google Sheet with the date, platform, community, and link
- Spend 5–6 hours per week across your assigned communities
What You're NOT Doing:
- No spam. No copy-pasting the same message everywhere.
- No fake accounts or pretending to be someone else.
- No TikTok or video creation. This is text-based community engagement.
- No selling. The app is free. You're sharing a useful tool, not pitching a product.
Who You Are:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a US college
- Active on Reddit and/or Facebook — you already know how these communities work
- Based in the US (preferably Mid-Atlantic: DC, MD, VA, PA)
- Comfortable writing casually and naturally — your posts should sound like a student, not a brand
Details:
- Hours: 5–6 hours per week
- Duration: 3 weeks (may extend based on results)
- Pay: $650 for 3 weeks, paid weekly
- Bonus: $10 per post that drives 20+ visits to the app ($200 pool)
- Start: ASAP — need to be active by March 3, 2026
- Remote, US-based only
How to Apply: Send a short message (2–3 sentences) answering:
- What school are you at or did you graduate from?
- Are you active on Reddit and/or Facebook groups? Which ones?
- Have you ever promoted anything in an online community before? (No experience is fine.)
I will ask for a 2-minute sample post before hiring.
