Software Development Engineer (Full-Stack) Intern

Type: Internship (Part-time or Full-time)
Duration: 3–6 months 

 

About the Role

This internship is educational in purpose and designed to help you gain real-world experience in software engineering within an AI and Video and 3D innovation environment. You will work closely with a senior engineer mentor and the AI + product teams to design, develop, and optimize front-and back-end systems for Vicino’s multi-agent platform. You’ll learn industry-grade tools, collaborate in code reviews, and gain exposure to AI and Video and 3D software stacks.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain backend services and APIs supporting AI model orchestration and data pipelines.
  • Implement front-end interfaces using React / Next.js to visualize 3D content and manage user flows.
  • Integrate AI model endpoints and 3D visualization tools (Three.js, WebGL, or Unity Web builds).
  • Participate in code reviews, debugging, and testing with guidance from a senior engineer.
  • Contribute to documentation and internal SDKs to support cross-team integration.

 

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript and at least one backend framework (e.g., Node.js, FastAPI, Flask).
  • Experience with front-end development (React, Next.js, or similar).
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and Git version control.
  • Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced startup environment.

 

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Experience with 3D libraries (Three.js, WebGL) or file formats (GLTF, FBX, USD).
  • Interest in AI applications, multi-agent systems, or creative tools.

 

Educational Structure & Mentorship

  • Intern will work under the direct supervision of a Senior Engineer or Technical Lead.
  • Weekly check-ins and pair-programming sessions to support learning objectives.
  • Opportunities for performance-based extension or paid conversion after completion.
