Job Description:
Loose Parts is a Hudson Valley based furniture studio making custom kitchen cabinetry designed as collectible furniture. Founded by Jennifer June, interior designer, Parsons faculty member, and woodworker, the studio works with architects and designers who care about craft, material health, and circular design.
The Role: We're looking for a freelance Social Media Coordinator to manage our Instagram and TikTok presence. You'll handle captions, scheduling, light video editing, and engagement. Basically keeping the account consistent and on-brand.
What You'll Do:
- Write captions for 8 posts/month (2/week)
- Edit short-form video (Reels/TikTok) in CapCut or similar. Simple cuts, music, light color correction
- Schedule and post content
- Light engagement (responding to comments, occasional stories)
- Weekly 15 min. check-ins for the first month, then biweekly once you're up to speed

- Developing brand voice for a creative studio
- Working directly with a founder on content strategy
You Should Have:
- Strong writing skills
- Basic video editing experience (CapCut, Premiere, or similar)
- Reliability. You can meet deadlines without reminders
- Interest in design, interiors, and/or craft
Logistics:
- Freelance/contract (1099, you invoice monthly)
- Remote, asynchronous
- ~8–12 hours/month
- $400–600/month depending on experience
