Role:
We're looking for an Investment Analyst who is a creative and independent thinker, with divergent skills and a passion for challenging the status quo. As an integral member of our team, you'll work closely with the founding partner and current team, participating in all aspects of the investment process.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on technology, software, and health/wellness/healthcare businesses, with a focus on identifying innovative and transformative ideas
- Develop financial models and write-ups to support investment sourcing, due diligence, and underwriting decisions
- Prepare presentations and materials for investors, with a focus on telling compelling stories and highlighting the potential for transformation
- Monitor portfolio companies and related news/events, with an eye toward identifying value-adding opportunities that challenge the status quo
- Draft memos and write-ups that communicate complex ideas in a clear and compelling way
- Contribute to corporate strategy, with a focus on assessing and/or identifying new investments and opportunities.
- Help maintain CRM database and investor relations, with a focus on building relationships that reflect our commitment to diversity and inclusivity
- Provide general support to the Founding Partner and the team as needed
Qualifications:
We're looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:
- A passion for investing in transformative ideas and challenging the status quo
- experience in investment banking, management consulting, or private equity/venture capital
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with a particular focus on storytelling and communicating complex ideas in a clear and compelling way
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on collaboration and inclusivity
- Resourcefulness and thoroughness in conducting research and financial analysis
- A strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
