Who We Are 

Different Sounds is a record label founded by Alex Vazelakis, former Head of A&R at Ultra Records (Sony Music). We work at the intersection of electronic and indie music, offering creative services for today’s boldest and most authentic disruptors. The label has seen rapid growth and continues to build a roster that pushes culture forward.
 

What You’ll Do 

Step into the world of independent music marketing and storytelling. You’ll gain hands-on experience supporting artist campaigns and the label’s social presence through:

Content Planning: Draft post concepts, captions, and short-form scripts across Instagram and TikTok

Campaign Support: Assist with artist rollouts, influencer outreach, and trend research

Community Engagement: Help monitor and grow our social presence across platforms

Creative Input: Contribute ideas for visuals, edits, and formats that match each artist’s voice and brand

What We’re Looking For 

Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program (music business, marketing, communications, or related)

Previous music-industry experience (internship, band/project involvement, or related)

Passion for electronic/indie music

Plugged in on current trends and online culture

A strong writer with a good eye for visual content 

Organized, curious, and excited to contribute to creative campaigns

Comfortable navigating platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube

Bonus: Basic design or video-editing experience (Canva, After Effects, etc.)
