E-Commerce Systems Developer

ArmsUnlimited.com is a high-traffic e-commerce platform specializing in the sale of firearms and accessories to the public, and restricted products to government entities, with a dedicated sales team handling B2B and B2G transactions. We are seeking a talented and motivated University student or recent graduate to join our team to develop and maintain our robust e-commerce ecosystem.

Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Computer Science student or graduate with expertise in application development and e-commerce to support the ongoing development, maintenance, and optimization of ArmsUnlimited.com. The ideal candidate will play a key role in enhancing our BigCommerce-based shopping platform, integrating with tools like QuickBooks Online, GovSpend and Constant Contact, and addressing the unique application/technology needs of our B2B and B2G sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize ArmsUnlimited.com, a high-traffic e-commerce website built on BigCommerce.
  • Design and implement custom applications, programs, and integrations to support B2C, B2B, and B2G sales operations.
  • Integrate and manage web applications, including QuickBooks Online for accounting and Constant Contact for email marketing.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop tailored technology solutions for B2B and B2G clients.
  • Ensure website performance, security, and scalability to handle high traffic volumes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the website and related applications.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and recommend improvements to enhance user experience and functionality.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current University student or recent graduate in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of application development, web development, and e-commerce platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with BigCommerce or similar e-commerce platforms.
  • Proficiency in integrating and managing web applications like QuickBooks Online and Constant Contact.
  • Familiarity with front-end and back-end development technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, PHP, or similar).
  • Understanding of e-commerce workflows, including payment gateways, inventory management, and customer relationship management.
  • Ability to develop custom applications to meet the specific needs of B2B and B2G sales teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with API integrations and third-party application development.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for e-commerce websites.
  • Familiarity with firearms industry regulations and compliance (a plus, but not required).
