Who We Are
The Ambulatory Nurse Residency Program is a structured, transition-to-practice program - accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) - that supports and mentors new graduate nurses as they build clinical skills, confidence, and professional growth in their first year of practice.
Eligibility Criteria
Penn Eligibility:
Includes all new to practice nurses in their first role or with 6 months or less experience automatically.
No longer than 12 months shall lapse since graduation to admission into the nurse residency program.
Eligibility Criteria: Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse Experience
Any Candidate within 6 months of their first professional registered nurse role should be included in the Nurse Residency Program, regardless of any other previous experience in other certified or licensed role.
Procedure for Exception to Nurse Residency Eligibility
Evaluate on an individual basis for program enrollment by Director of Nurse Residency Program, entity Nurse Residency Coordinator, Director of Nursing Professional Development and Practice leadership.
