Position Title: Next Generation Pastor – Youth & Kids

Reports To: Lead Pastor

Location: The Church at the Groves – Leesburg, GA

Employment Type: Full-Time

OVERVIEW:

We’re looking for the right person—not just to fill a role, but to lead the next generation into a passionate, personal relationship with Jesus.

The Next Generation Pastor – Youth & Kids will be responsible for leading, developing, and discipling children (Kindergarten–5th grade) and students (6th–12th grade) in a vibrant, Spirit-led, age-appropriate ministry.

This is a hands-on, relational role with a clean slate to build something special. You don’t have to come from a mega-church or have a perfect résumé—we’re looking for someone with calling, character, and some ministry experience who is ready to grow with us.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Youth Ministry (Grades 6–12):

Develop and lead a weekly youth service that is engaging, biblical, and relevant.

Recruit, train, and empower adult and student leaders to serve in youth ministry.

Build relationships with students inside and outside the church (including school visits, events, and community outreach).

Create a safe and fun environment where students can grow in faith and community.

Plan and lead camps, retreats, missions opportunities, and special events.

Partner with parents to encourage discipleship at home.

Kids Ministry (Kindergarten–5th Grade):

Oversee Sunday morning Kids Church, ensuring a safe, exciting, and Jesus-centered experience.

Lead, equip, and schedule volunteer teams for classrooms and environments.

Implement curriculum and plan creative experiences for various age levels.

Ensure that environments are safe, clean, welcoming, and aligned with our church culture.

Support and resource parents as the primary faith leaders in their kids' lives.

Administrative & Church-Wide Responsibilities:

Maintain and manage planning systems, curriculum, safety protocols, and communication.

Manage ministry budgets, resources, and event planning for both departments.

Collaborate with the Lead Pastor and staff to align Next Gen ministry with the overall mission and vision of the church.

Participate in weekly staff meetings, church services, and all major events.

Use creativity and strategy to grow both ministries numerically and spiritually.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

Minimum Requirements:

Proven experience leading or significantly contributing to youth and/or kids ministry (volunteer or paid).

Spirit-led and passionate about discipling the next generation.

Strong communication skills with both kids and adults.

Leadership ability to build teams and develop volunteers.

High level of personal integrity and spiritual maturity.

Assemblies of God background/Pentecostal/Spirit-filled ministry.

Preferred but Not Required:

Bible college or ministry-related education.

Experience with church management systems, digital curriculum, or creative planning tools.

WHAT WE OFFER:

Full-time ministry role with a strong support system and room to grow.

A Lead Pastor and team that values innovation, authenticity, and family.

Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications.

Benefits include:

Medical Insurance

Paid Vacation

Church-issued computer

Church-issued cell phone with plan

We’re not a small church barely hanging on, and we’re not a massive machine where your voice gets

lost. We’re in the middle—a healthy-sized church that’s rebuilding and reaching forward. You’ll be

stepping into a role with vision, freedom, and a clean slate to build something that matters. If you're

looking for a place where your leadership can make a real difference—and where you won’t be doing it

alone—this might be the place for you.

TO APPLY:

Please email your resume, cover letter, and any available samples of your ministry work  (such as preaching /teaching videos, event artwork, social media content, or creative projects) to info@thegroves.church
