Overview:

ULimo is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to help build and optimize the systems powering our transportation and event booking platform. This role is ideal for students passionate about scalable architecture, problem-solving, and real-world systems engineering. Interns will work alongside leadership and developers to design efficient backend logic, streamline user flow, and ensure our platform is ready for growth.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with a startup tech stack and contribute to meaningful infrastructure that impacts riders, venues, and operations.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in designing scalable backend systems and APIs
• Contribute to technical architecture discussions and documentation
• Help implement secure and efficient user flows across our platform
• Identify bottlenecks and suggest performance optimizations
• Collaborate with software developers, product leads, and business teams

Preferred Qualifications:

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles
• Familiarity with backend languages such as Python, Node.js, or Java
• Experience with APIs, version control (Git), and cloud tools is a plus
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
• Startup-minded: resourceful, flexible, and eager to learn
